Who We Are

California Handwoven's female founders met in the weaving program at City College in San Francisco, where we bonded over our mutual enthusiasm for handwoven fabrics. As former university professors, we both came to weaving design and production with the same love of learning, curiosity and passion that had motivated our prior careers. The desire to share the beauty and joy we find in handwoven textiles prompted us to start California Handwoven in 2021.
